1. Night Swim, January 5

Hollywood Horror Movies List

The first major horror release of 2024 originates from Blumhouse. Against the odds, Ray hopes to rekindle his professional baseball career, persuading Eve that the new home’s sparkling backyard swimming pool will be enjoyable for the youngsters and a source of physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the property’s past will unleash a malevolent force that will pull them under, into the depths of terror.

2. Baghead — February 8

We don’t know a lot about this right now, but Night Swim director Bryce McGuire is one of the primary writers. It centres around a young woman who inherits a rundown pub and finds a dark secret within its basement. Enter Baghead, a shape-shifting creature that will permit you to speak with lost loved ones, but not without consequence. You know, just once, we’d like to commune with the dead without worrying about consequences! We’ll keep you posted as we uncover Baghead’s secrets.

3. Lisa Frankenstein, February 9

Diablo Cody penned this neon horror-comedy set in the ’80s, starring Freaky’s Kathryn Newton and Riverdale’s Cole Sprouse, and we are pretty fuckin excited about it. Nothing says Valentine’s Day plans like a little teenage necromancy.

Liza Soberano, Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest, and Carla Gugino are among this outstanding ensemble of actors who will play the lead roles in this hilarious and tragic tale of a misunderstood adolescent girl and her high school crush, who happens to be a good-looking corpse. After a series of amusingly tragic circumstances, he returns to life, and as he embarks on a quest for love and happiness, many missing components must be found.

4. Out Of Darkness, February 9

A tiny ship arrives at the bottom of a raw and hostile terrain. Six individuals have traveled long distances to develop a new home. They are vulnerable and miserable, having lived 45,000 years ago. They must first find shelter, and they walk out through the tundra wastes towards the distant mountains that offer them the abundant caves they require to survive.

But when darkness falls, anticipation turns to fear and worry as they realize they are not alone. Terrified sounds suggest something massive in this landscape, something that will murder them or take them away from here. When friendships in the group fracture, the determination of one young woman exposes the terrible flaws she used to stay alive.

5. Imaginary: March 8

Jessica moves back into her childhood home with her entire family. Her youngest stepdaughter, Alice, develops an emotional attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey when Jessica finds him in the basement. Jessica’s interactions with Chauncey are becoming more intense, and she intervenes only to learn that Chauncey is a much more terrifying character than she first thought.

“Imaginary stars” DeWanda Wise (who’s also on board as a producer), Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcon, and Betty Buckley are among the cast of “Imaginary Stars.” Wadlow (who previously helmed Bridge Hollow and Cry Wolf) comes from a script he co-wrote with Jason Oremland and Greg Erb.

6. The First Omen, April 5

When a young American woman is sent to Rome to start a life of service to the church, she encounters darkness that causes her to doubt her faith and unearths a terrifying conspiracy that threatens to bring about the birth of an evil incarnate.

While there isn’t much information available about this film, which is being directed by Arkasha Stevenson, if it is a precursor to The Omen and centres on a young woman attempting to prevent “the birth of evil,” then we can certainly draw some conclusions about how The First Omen does.

7. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, April 12

Even though its name is not pronounced correctly, Godzilla and Kong will rule. It’s only one of a number of cinematic clashes set to take place in 2022, the other being Batman vs. Superman. Serving as a follow-up to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, Godzilla x Kong. El Hombre and De Magal are two well-known and well-liked monsters. This time, however, they are not in opposition to each other.

“Pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence—and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

8. Radio Silence Untitled Monster Movie — April 19, 2024

We can’t wait to have a genuine championship for this. That’s The Hollywood Reporter describing Radio Silence’s “untitled monster movie.” THR goes on to say that Universal has yet to confirm the details above but that “the studio is noting that the untitled horror feature is in the vein of recent Universal films such as Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man and the Nicolas Cage starrer Renfield in that it will be ‘a unique take on legendary monster lore and will represent a fresh, new direction for how to celebrate these classic characters.'”

And of course, we’ll keep you posted hollywood horror movies list as we learn more and have a full-blown celebration once we can officially stop referring to it as “Radio Silence Untitled Monster Movie.”

9. Return to Silent Hill — April 26

Pyramid Head will be back later this year! Christopher Gans has also revealed that the film will include a few nods to P.T. According to Chris Gans, it refers to the ill-fated and wholly terrible teaser for Hideo Kojima’s cancelled Silent Hills. James (Irvine), a man broken after being separated from his one true love, Hannah Emily Anderson, is the setting of the film.

When he receives a letter summoning him to Silent Hill in search of her, he finds a once beautiful town transformed by an unknown evil. As James delves deeper into the darkness, he encounters terrifying figures both familiar and new and starts to question his sanity as he tries to make sense of reality and hold on long enough to save his stolen love.

10. Horrorscope — May 10

2018 BLOOD FEST, The film is based on Nicholas Adams’ novel of the same name, which comes from Sony’s Screen Gems division. She would arrive soon. The following quotation is attributed to the following source:

Finally, Jenny Warren left the protective illumination of the streetlamp behind. She walked through the darkened area swiftly, her shoes grating on the sidewalk. The watcher smiled in the shadows. His hands grew tighter around the scarf as the night progressed. You should have paid attention, Jenny, he said to himself.

11. The Strangers, Chapter 1, May 17

You’d think that just hours after publishing this list, we’d have to change Renny Harlin’s The Strangers from TBD to a rock-solid May 17 release date. We find ourselves in a survival game when a couple, played by Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale) and Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent), must survive the night while being terrorized by masked strangers in an Oregon AirBnB. In our upcoming interview, Renny Harlin discusses his film, which is part of a collective group of the hollywood horror movies list.

12. The Watchers, June 7

Also features Barbarian’s Georgina Campbell and Olwen Fouáacute; © (The Northman).

13. A Quiet Place: Day One—June 28

Fans of the Quiet Place universe can (silently) enjoy it because the prequel is almost here! Some new faces we’ll be seeing include Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, and Denis O’Hare. It’s a spinoff from the Abbott family that was created by Michael Saroski (Pig) and differs from the original series.

14. Trap: August 2

The following are six suggestions for creating and maintaining a good mental health regimen 1. Maintain a healthy, well-balanced diet.

While little is known about M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming movie hitting theatres in the summer hollywood horror movies list 2024, we do know the cast includes Josh Hartnett and Hayley Mills, which is exciting enough in and of itself.

15. Speak No Evil, August 9

2022: SPEAK NO EVIL

Speak Evil was one of the most vicious films of 2022. It was one of the more brutal offerings in recent memory. A remake of An American is on the way, starring James McAvoy and directed by Eden Lake’s James Watkins from the original script. Speak No Evil (which is not burned into your nightmares as it is for us) was the original 2022 hollywood horror movies list.

When an American family meets a Dutch family on vacation, there’s a chance of a disturbance. When a terrifying weekend of manners was supposed to be a relaxing holiday, it gradually unravels as the Danes attempt to remain polite in the face of impoliteness.

16. Alien: Romulus August 16

Officially, this one is currently referred to as “Untitled Alien Event Movie.” Unofficially (and on IMDB), it has been dubbed Alien. Whatever it is called, we know for sure that the film’s star, Cailee Spaeny, told Variety that this installment is “expected to slot in between the hollywood horror movies list of the first movie and the second movie” from the original Alien franchise. Since details about the standalone narrative remain under wraps, with a whole fifty-seven years of plot development, it really could go anywhere.

17. Beetlejuice 2 — September 6

After a lot of rumours and false starts, Beetlejuice 2, released on November 22, is a genuinely good movie, and we will be able to see it in 2024.

“In addition to the names mentioned above, Beetlejuice 2 will also star Catherine O’Hara and Justin Theroux.

18. Smile 2: October 18

A SMILE for 2022. Details about the plot are being kept under wraps, but filmmaker Parker Finn is returning to direct and write the sequel. Finn directed and wrote the 2017 sleeper hit “Along Way Down.” Smile, the comedy-horror hybrid film on the hollywood horror movies list was acquired by Paramount Pictures for an initial look deal. Naomi Scott, who played Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, is set to star in the upcoming sequel, and we’ll keep you updated as we learn more about it!

19. Terrifier 3: October 25

Terrifier 3 features the return of FANGORIA Chainsaw Award-winning final girl Lauren LaVera as Sienna, as well as Elliott Fullam and David Howard Thornton reprising their roles from previous films. The franchise’s fourth entry will also see the reappearance of Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria Heyes, the heroine-turned-villain.

In the third installment of Damien Leone’s hollywood horror movies list, Art the Clown, mayhem is unleashed upon the innocent citizens of Miles County as they drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.

20. Nosferatu, December 25

Nosferatu stars Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd rd (as the blood-sucking Count Orlok), Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe. Focus describes Eggers’ remake as “a gothic tale of obsession between a young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, resulting in untold horror in its trail.” We’ve been teased; our appetites have been whetted, and we are prepared to spend Christmas hollywood horror movies list 2024.

21. Jordan Peele’s Fourth Film (TBD)

We published this hollywood horror movies list as soon as Universal decided to release Cole’s fourth film from their 2024 lineup. It was originally scheduled for a Christmas Day release, but the plot thickens as new dates have not been revealed.

The official IMDb title is “Untitled Fourth Film Directed by Jordan Peele,” and the official IMDb synopsis is “Plot remains concealed.” However, it is classified as a mystery, horror, or thriller and that’s got us pretty excited.
